Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems & Automation (LMS) is oriented on research and development in cutting edge scientific and technological fields. LMS is organized in three different groups: Innovative Manufacturing Processes, Advanced Human-Centered Design Techniques, including Virtual Reality, and Production Systems Planning, Control and Networking.

UiT The Arctic University of Norway is a medium-sized research university that contributes to knowledge-based development at the regional, national and international level. The multidisciplinary Tampere University is Finland’s second-largest university with 20.000 students and 330 professors. TAU conducts scientific research in technology, health and society and provides the highest education within these fields. The Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences brings together a unique combination of expertise in natural sciences, related applied sciences and engineering sciences. The research and education in our unit ranges from automation systems engineering to robotics, product design and production engineering.

Centria R&D, is a research organisation inside Centria university of applied sciences in Finland. Centria University of Applied Sciences has experience of R&D with SMEs and International co-operation. Some 100 researchers and 100 teachers working together on the application of latest technologies in ICT, manufacturing, energy and wood technology. Centria is the most international university of applied sciences in Finland.

Jožef Stefan Institute (JSI) is the leading Slovene research organization. It is responsible for a broad spectrum of basic and applied research in the fields of natural sciences and engineering. The staff of around 950 specializes in research in electronics and information science, physics, chemistry and biochemistry, nuclear technology, energy utilization, and environmental science.

Flanders Make is the strategic research centre for the manufacturing industry. From our sites all over Flanders, we stimulate open innovation through excellent research. Our expertise is focused around 4 key competences, all based on modelling and virtualisation, are a) Decision and Control, b)Design and Optimisation, c) Motion products, d) Flexible Assembly.

As a leading institute for resource-efficient production within the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, Fraunhofer IWU is an important R&D partner for the automotive/vehicle, machine tool and mechanical engineering industries. Research at Fraunhofer IWU is grouped in three scientific fields:

3.machine tools, production systems and cutting technologies

Elektronikas un datorzinātņu institūts (EDI) in Riga, Latvia, is a public research institution founded in 1960. Currently, EDI is among the highest rated scientific institutions in Latvia specializing in Smart Embedded Cooperative Systems (SECS). In particular, EDI is focusing on following research directions: extremely precise event timing; remote sensing and space data processing; robotics and machine perception; signal processing and embedded intelligence; smart sensors and IoT.

The Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) is a prestigious higher education institution in Hungary and is also one of the oldest institutes of technology in the world, having been founded in 1782. The main mission of BME is to educate professionals for the industry in the disciplines of technology, informatics, natural sciences, economics, business and management.

LSEC (Leaders In Security) is a European not-for-profit association focused on Information Security, operating from Belgium. The association is based upon the corporate membership of more than 10.000 individual members, representing over 3.500 end user organisations from a variety of vertical sectors mainly in the Critical Infrastructure domain and centred around more than 365 Core Members.

Main focuses are ergonomic design, easily convertible and ergonomic optimized part storage systems and workplace layout guided with MTM (Methods Time Measurement). LP-Montagetechnik has created specific assembly solutions for components with diversity of variants or production in small or medium quantities, which covers the challenges of the recent assembly research in an almost exemplary way.

DIGITALNORWAY Toppindustrisenteret AS (DNT) is an industry-driven initiative to digitize Norwegian businesses. The initiative aims to become an arena that builds, connects and drives digitization projects across SMEs, institutes and industry giants. DIGITAL NORWAY is the centre of force and the hub for several expert networks.

Fastems is an independent supplier of flexible manufacturing systems and robotics-based automation to the metal cutting industries for automating the manufacturing and finishing processes. Founded in 1901, Fastems is a privately held company headquartered in Finland. Fastems operates in nine European countries, the United States, Japan, and China.
