Use Case 2: Collaborative disassembly with augmented reality interaction
Topic outline
-
This online training material is introducing a solution for a safe and intuitive robotic interface for multimachine work environments, where the human worker operates together with traditional industrial robots. The safety is realized using an external vision system and AR-based technology.
The presented use case has been proven functional at TRL6. However as the technology was build based on commercial AR hardware no longer supported, the further development of this technology has been suspended.
Instead the safety of the operator has been ensured by preventive training utilizing virtual reality (VR) based training introducing the operator beforehand how to work safely in human-robot collaboration environment when heavy payload industrial robots are used. Details of this approach is described in the linked technical module “VR-BASED SAFETY TRAINING FOR HRC”.
What will you learn from the lectures below:
The following video will introduce the use case Collaborative (dis)assembly with augmented reality interaction. The main goal of this use case to prepare the operator safety in human-robot collaboration environment when heavy payload industrial robots are used.
