SMACHA Scripting Engine for Task Execution Control

Introduction of the Training:

When deploying a reconfigurable fixturing system to mount a set of different workpieces, it is necessary to determine optimal locations and postures of the hardware elements from which a fixturing system is constructed. This module provides an optimization procedure for the determination of optimal layouts for fixturing systems built from Stewart platforms. Stewart platforms are ideal constituent elements for fixturing systems because not only do they provide 6 degrees of freedom to position the fixture points but also have very good load bearing properties compared to serial mechanisms.

This workshop is suitable for developers coming from both academic and industrial backgrounds. Users will learn how to develop complex state machines that control the top-level robotic applications.

Requirements:

 

The participants of the workshop should have a solid knowledge of the Robot Operating System framework and the Python programming language.
